Floorboard sanding

If your house was built before the 1950s, there's a good chance you're walking on original floorboards — possibly hidden under decades of carpet, underlay and tack strips. Bath and Bristol are full of them, and they're usually worth uncovering.

Sanded and sealed boards bring real warmth to a room. They're easy to keep clean, they don't trap dust and allergens the way carpet does, and they suit period homes in a way that few modern floor coverings can match.

Original boards have lived a life — old nail holes, gaps, the odd repair. Sanding doesn't erase that history, and it shouldn't. What you get isn't a showroom-perfect finish; it's a floor full of character that's genuinely yours.
